Four policemen were booked within their police station after an alleged target killer escaped from the lock-up on Wednesday. Suspect Nadeem was arrested by the police around four days ago and was being investigated by the Investigation Wing of the Sharafi Goth police station in Korangi from where he managed to escape. The police said that the arrested target killer belonged to a political party and was accused of at least five target killings of policemen. Following the incident, high-ranking police officials registered a case against sub-inspector Nazar Muhammad and three others, and arrested them. DSP Ali Muhammad Khosa said they are investigating how the suspect escaped from the lock-up and the involvement of the policemen.
