Wagon-oil tanker collision kills at least 8 in Attock

Six people were also injured in the incident

ATTOCK: At least eight people were killed in a collision between an oil tanker and a wagon near Attock on Tuesday.

According to reports, as many as eight people were killed while six others were injured when a wagon laden with passengers collided with an oil tanker on Kohat Road near Mithial area of Tehsil Jand, Attock district.

The deceased and injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Attack and Pindigate Hospital.

Earlier, at least three people were killed and 27 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a dumper on the motorway near the Islamabad Interchange, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

The incident took place when a passenger coach (LES-1322) rammed into a dumper truck (J-3839) some three kilometres from the Islamabad Interchange on Friday. According to passengers, the driver of the coach was asleep at the wheel and hit the dumper truck from behind.
