

Amir Khan landed in Karachi on Monday after visiting Lahore. The boxer met the cricketer and they both took to Twitter to share their interaction.
After their meeting, Afridi tweeted, "I'm ready for a new career. My right hook is deadly..just ask @AmirKingKhan. It was good meeting him today."

Last week, Amir inaugurated a boxing academy at the Pakistan Sports Complex.
The ‘Amir Khan Boxing Academy’ was launched in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to train young pugilists. Amir and PSB DG Akhtar Ganjera signed an agreement at Rodham Hall. Under the agreement, Amir will provide coaches and equipment for the academy, while the PSB will support its functioning.
“I really believe we can make several champions in this sport,” said the British boxer of Pakistani origin.
Afridi who captains the Twenty20 side of Pakistan is affectionately known as ‘Boom Boom,’ after his smashing sixes, and has been a fan-favourite for decades, and despite being unpredictable with the bat the flamboyant player is regarded as the messiah which Pakistan love to turn to during troubled situations in matches.
