Flood Relief: Navy sends three tons of ration

Sea King helicopters and Zulu boats have been deployed in the flood-hit areas

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy relief and rescue operation ‘Madad’ continues to help flood-stricken people of Sujawal, Chuhar Jamali and Shah Bandar in southern Sindh after providing support at Sukkur, Khairpur, Pano Aqil, Larkana, Badin and Nawabshah in the north of the province. According to a press release of Pakistan Navy, Sea King helicopters and Zulu boats have been deployed in the flood-hit areas. During the last 24 hours, more than 500 hundred flood victims, including women and children, have been evacuated to safe places. Over three tonnes of ration has been airdropped through Seaking helicopters amongst the flood victims. Navy said that it has stationed Marines at Surjani Bund and Bacha Bund dykes to observe flood situation. Moreover, Navy teams helped local people plug breaches in a dyke near Chuahr Jamali.
