Forestry And Hydel Power: Turkey assures more investment

Turkish Minister also offered Turkish expertise in water management, flood control and afforestation

ISLAMABAD: Turkish Minister for Forestry and Water Dr Veysel Eroglu assured visiting Punjab Minister Sher Ali Khan further Turkish investment in the energy sector for surmounting the challenge of energy shortage. He also offered Turkish expertise in water management, flood control and afforestation. The visiting minister thanked him for encouraging Turkish companies to take advantage of the vast investment opportunities in Pakistan. The two sides agreed on a number of projects to deepen bilateral collaboration in the fields of hydel power generation and forestry. Detailed presentations on investment opportunities in the mining and power sectors in Punjab were made by Additional Chief Secretary Jehanzeb Khan and Secretary Mining Arshad Mahmood.
