Health concern: Water quality tests at schools demanded

The resolution asks the government to ensure collection of water samples from all public schools in the province

LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly deputy opposition leader, Sibtain Khan, on Wednesday submitted a draft resolution to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat, calling for quality tests for drinking water provided at public schools. The resolution asks the government to ensure collection of water samples from all public schools in the province. It also calls for the provision of water filtration plants in the schools. Khan also submitted a call-attention notice, seeking information about the progress made in arresting the terrorists behind the Attock attack. The authorities concerned have also been asked to inform the lawmakers about the number of fatalities and injuries in the attack.
