Unlawful Promotion: Action against illegal advertisements

The authority’s member administration has directed the team to continue taking action

ISLAMABAD: Special teams from the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have begun operations against illegal advertisements including billboards, pylons, banners, removing them from various locations of the capital. The operation is in line with directives from CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal and Member Administration and Estate Aamer Ali Ahmed. Special teams have been constituted, and have begun removing the unlawful advertisements from sectors F-6, F-7 and F-10 Markaz. Teams also carried out operations against illegal advertisement boards from the Islamabad Expressway, Kashmir Highway and areas in Sector G-12. Teams also confiscated welding plants, cutter machines and other materials. The authority’s member administration has directed the team to continue taking action without fear or favour across the capital, and submit daily reports on the operation’s progress.
