Coast Guards arrest 47 Iran-bound illegal migrants

The migrants were heading to Iran via unauthorised routes and without valid documents

Pakistan Coast Guards said on Monday that they had arrested 47 would be illegal migrants near Gwadar who were heading towards Iran, Radio Pakistan reported.

According to initial details, the migrants, including 39 Afghan nationals, were apprehended near Nalient, Gwadar while using unauthorised travel routes to get into Iran.

The Coast Guards further added that the migrants did not have valid documents.

After initial investigations, they were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency for further investigation and prosecution.
