‘Extortionist’ demands Rs10m from man

An alleged extortionist has demanded Rs10 million from a citizen in the Lalarukh area of Wah Cantt, threatening him of dire consequences if he failed to arrange the sum.


Masood Mukhtar, a resident of Wah Cantt, lodged a complaint with the local police that an unknown person has demanded the sum from him through a letter, which he threw inside his home, asking to arrange the extortion money within a week’s time. According to him, in the letter, the alleged extortionist has threatened that if he (complainant) did not deliver the money, he and his son will be killed. The police said investigation is under way.
