KARACHI: Toni&Guy breaks yet another milestone with their latest launch to revolutionise the average mall experience. The international brand, that recently placed their largest salon in the world in Karachi, has now decided to launch their diffusion brand Essensuals in the city’s popular mall Forum.

The opening ceremony was held at Forum with the British Deputy High Commissioner Robert Gibson inaugurating the launch.

The 15-minute show held in the main lobby of the mall with a black ramp spread for the models. Five female and two male models dressed in white, grey and black walked the ramp sporting funky hairstyles.

Opening the event, Mandviwalla, the franchise owner, said, “With great pride, I welcome you to the launch. Essensuals came to Pakistan in 2003. It was first in South East Asian region.”

Gibson said, “Essensuals is for young and trendy people, one of the biggest chains of Toni&Guy. Essensuals that started a few years back modestly in London is a big name today.

“I like Pakistan because people pick up trends very easily. I’m proud of being here at the event.”

Mandviwalla revealed that the brand’s main aim is to educate customers about the latest haircuts and styles in vogue.

The Toni&Guy team especially put together a hair show for the press meet to unveil all the snazzy makeovers customers can now achieve with a slip in the mall. The team did a commendable job in incorporating international trends keeping in mind the traditional features, face cuts and local wardrobe.

Mandviwala shared her brand experience saying, “Essensuals is the next generation of Toni&Guy. It’s young, it’s fresh, it’s glamorous and the best part is that it is totally accessible.”

When asked about the affordability of the brand, Mandviwalla maintained that, “Even though initially, Essensuals had started off less expensive than Toni&Guy, it now stands at equal footing and is completely affordable to the average mall visitor.”

The event was attended by fashion bigwigs like Freiha Altaf, Neshmia Ahmed, Aliya Zaidi, Nazneen Tariq, Ayesha Omar and Anisa Farooqi. Models participating in the event were Iraj Manzoor, Gia Ali, Monica, Sadaf Kanwal, Hira Tareen, Iffy and Momo.
