According to a senior official, under the new plan, the exterior of the canopy shades will be enlarged and extended to ward off the rainwater from dripping in during rains.

As part of the plan, fences will also be erected on both sides of metro bus route from IJP Road to the Secretariat bus station, said the official who had attended a special meeting held under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif regarding the re-designing of the bus stations.
