Sidharth can play Ram, Ranveer, Arjun or Varun can play Lakhan: Jackie Shroff

The speculations regarding who would be cast in the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1989 hit Ram Lakhan that originally starred actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor in the lead have been going around for quite some time now, reported Pinkvilla. 

While the makers have remained quite on this issue, the original Ram, Jackie Shroff, gave his suggestions for the remake of the blockbuster.

“For Anil's role, Anil, for my role there are a lot of choices,” quipped Shroff.

Probe him as to why he feels so and the actor explains, “Lakhan is Lakhan always, he cannot change. If someone takes me as Ram then we are the best, there's no doubt about it. But I think there are sincere boys. The role of Ram was simple, he was a simple person who was always concerned about his mother, people & work's respect. We are the best choice, but there are people who can do it. I don't know who would play my role.”

He adds, “I can see many Lakhan. There can be so many, there are so many naughty actors like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, anyone can do it because they all are naughty children.”

However, Jackie was confused about who could fit into his role of Ram. When Sidharth Malhotra's name was suggested, who plays his son in the upcoming film Brothers, Jackie was convinced and said, "My Sidharth can be Ram. Yes, you're right.”
