Samsung’s delayed tablet computer reaches Pakistan via Mobilink.

KARACHI: The Galaxy Tab, Samsung’s compact tablet computer, has been launched in the country by Mobilink after a one-month delay. The device was originally supposed to be released on November 20, as confirmed by Samsung’s spokesperson in Pakistan, but was delayed due to unknown reasons.

The launch may have been delayed because of logistical issues, speculated analysts.

This is not the first time the Korean company has had launch issues. The Pakistani launch of Samsung’s reasonably successful Android phone was under the radar, executed without much publicity. Moreover, limited stocks of the phone were brought into the country.

The Tab, however, will now be available at Mobilink sales and service centres across the country. Sources within Samsung explained that Mobilink’s extensive network of customer care centres equipped the provider with an elaborate delivery system and allowed Samsung to tap in for provision of quality service to its customers.

Aftersales service for the Tab will be provided by Teletec.
