Acute Appendicitis : IHC judge undergoes surgery

ISLAMABAD: Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of the Islamabad High Court was hospitalised at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday night for acute appendicitis. The additional judge was brought to the hospital at 9pm, according to the hospital’s chief Dr Javed Akram. “After conducting a CT scan and other tests, he was operated at 10pm by a medical board under my supervision,” said  Akram, adding that the patient’s condition is improving. “Hopefully Justice Siddiqui will be discharged on Thursday and has been advised to take bed rest for one week,” he said.
