Raid: Police arrest 12 for ‘immoral activities’

The Lohi Bher police on Tuesday arrested twelve people including five women for being involved in ‘immoral activities’, said a police official.


The official said Lohi Bher SHO Fayyaz Ahmed Tanoli conducted a raid in Bahria Town and arrested twelve people including five women.

The suspects were identified as Asim Nadeem, Ali Abbas, Wasif Abbas; Junaid Awan; Wahab Abbas; Asif Ahmed; Waseem Khurshid; Maria Khan; Fatima; Kiran Salman; Nayla and Shanda.

“The raid was conducted on the tip of an informer and police have managed to arrest all members of the gang,” said the official. The police registered a case against the suspects under sections 371-A and 496-B of the Pakistan Penal Code and produced then before a court from where they were sent on judicial remand for two weeks.

In a separate raid, the Ramna Police arrested three people and recovered 1.150 kilogrammes of hashish and 250 grammes of heroin from their possession. The suspects were identified as Atiq, Obaka and Fiza Batool.

Similarly, the Nilore police have arrested a person and recovered one wine bottle from him.
