Extortionist attacks restaurant owner in Lahore

Security camera footage shows a man walking up to the counter of the restaurant and demanding money at gunpoint.

LAHORE: A restaurant owner in the Mozang area of Lahore was attacked on Saturday by an individual demanding extortion money.

Security camera footage shows a man, who is known in the area as Shahbaz, walking up to the counter of the restaurant and demanding money at gunpoint.

The restaurant owner called police from Mozang police station, but the police did not arrest the extortionist.

The  owners alleges that Shahbaz has police support for carrying out the extortion operation.

Maria | 13 years ago | Reply I'm glad he's caught on film. I've noticed that a publicising these types of incidents is producing results in Pakistan. I wouldn't be surprised if the criminal is picked up this week and charged if only to save face of the department officials.
