Punjab Board Of Revenue : Target of Rs39.79b surpassed

First time in the history of the province the mark of Rs1 billion had been crossed in the case of agriculture itax

LAHORE: Senior Member of Revenue Punjab Nadeem Ashraf has said that the Board of Revenue Punjab had been assigned a target of Rs39.79 billion for the financial year 2014-15 by the finance department against five heads. Addressing a board meeting of the Board of Revenue here on Thursday, he said that the target had been set for heads of stamp duty, mutation fee, CVT, AIT and registration fee. He informed that the Board of Revenue had been able to surpass the target for the financial year 2014-15 by recovering Rs39.96 billion. Ashraf also drew attention to the record recovery of Rs21.84 billion which had been achieved in the head of stamp duty. Additionally he said that for the first time in the history of the province the mark of Rs1 billion had been crossed in the case of agriculture income tax.
