The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is converting street lights on solar energy in a bid to conserve electricity and cut costs. Solar-powered lights are being installed on roads, parks, parking lots and residential areas. A CDA official said that it will be an automatic system, turning the lights on at dusk and switching them off at dawn.
