Swoop On Outlaws: SIU arrests five more robbers

the suspects confessed to their involvement in 13 robberies in Peshawar

ISLAMABAD: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the capital police on Monday claimed to have arrested the remaining five robbers who had escaped from Tarnol during a police encounter. The suspects were identified as Agha alias Badi, Shabran, Sikandar Khan, Aman Noor alias Dama and Abdu Majeed alias Sheena. On July, 6 they escaped from Tarnol during a police encounter. However, police succeeded to arrest them and also recovered weapons, ammunition, a motorbike and stolen amount of Rs300,000 from their possession. During investigation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in 13 robberies in Peshawar, Swat, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Similarly, in Islamabad, they committed robberies in Golra, Tarnol, IJP Road, E-7 and Tarlai, said a police official close to the development.
