Equipment theft : Notices served on nine CDA officials

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued notices to nine officials for their alleged negligence and involvement in stealing equipment, including generators installed on 7th Avenue. An official of the authority said CDA Member Engineering Shahid Sohail has served the notices to the officials of the E&M cadre. They include deputy-director Ayaz Khan, assistant director mechanical sanitation Shabbir Hussain, assistant director sector development Zafar, assistant director Parliament House Aziz, sub-engineer Aman Khan, electrical supervisor Khurram Mughal and supervisors Abdul Jabbar and Muneer Talat. An inquiry has also been formed to investigate the matter under the command of CDA Water and Management Director-General Shahid Mehmood. The inquiry team has been asked to submit a report within seven days.
