Biometric machines will be installed at 30 police stations to ensure attendance of police personnel
RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi police have been handed over biometric machines to install them at 30 police stations to ensure attendance of police personnel. A senior police official said as many as 40 biometric machines have been handed over to the Rawalpindi police to install them at different police stations, police lines and CIA offices. The official said the biometric system has been introduced on order of Punjab IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, who has taken notice of complaints about absenteeism in the police department. Earlier, when the manual attendance was in place, clerical staff would mark absent police personnel as ‘present’.
