Five years later: Regularise employees, demands CM
Following the 18th Amendment, many departments were devolved to the provincial government

Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah has expressed concern over the lack of regularisation of 2,000 employees who were transferred from the federal government to the provincial government after the promulgation of the 18th Amendment.
On Friday, the CM directed the secretaries of the relevant departments to regularise these employees within 10 days and submit a report to him.
Following the 18th Amendment, many departments, including health, population, women development and sports, were devolved to the provincial government. However, in the five years since then, these employees still have no job security.
The Sindh Assembly also passed legislation to regularise all the employees, but it received a lukewarm response from the heads of some of the departments. Inquiring about the reason for the delay, the CM said, "Why have the services of these employees not been confirmed? I will take action against the bureaucrats who are responsible for it."
The seniority of these employees should not be affected with the process of regularisation, he added.
