Ablaze: Shopping centre fire doused, no fatalities
The owners of the shops have suffered heavy financial losses as their belongings were destroyed

After about six hours of struggle by the fire fighters, a fire that broke out at a major shopping centre in Saddar on Tuesday night was extinguished without any fatalities on Wednesday morning. Fire brigade officials said that a fleet of 16 fire tenders, manned by several fire fighters, were actively engaged in the efforts. Many shops were set ablaze but no casualties were reported. However, the few remaining ones were rescued by the fire fighters. The owners of the shops have suffered heavy financial losses as their belongings were destroyed.
