Section 144 imposed in Lahore

Express April 26, 2010

LAHORE: As the government is trying to implement its energy conservation plan, DG PEPCO says Section 144 has been imposed in Lahore for two days to implement government orders to shut down shops by 8pm.

Speaking to the media, Mohammad Khalid said that power supply to 50 percent lights of PEPCO offices has been suspended.

He said markets will be provided with undisrupted power supply from 10am to 2pm, and 4pm to 8pm.  He added that electricity will be supplied to tube wells from 12pm to 6pm without any disruption.

The DG PEPCO also saved the opportunity tell the media that unscheduled power cuts have been reduced.
