In Memoriam : PPP K-P to observe black day

“actively observe July 5 as a black day in history”

PESHAWAR:
Pakistan Peoples Party Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will observe July 5 as a black day, stated the party’s provincial leadership on Saturday. On July 5, 1977, General Ziaul Haq toppled the elected government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and enforced martial law in the country. The military dictator had taken over with the promise that elections would be held within 90 days. The statement issued by the K-P leadership said party workers and leaders would “actively observe July 5 as a black day in history”.
