Working Together: ‘Creating an egalitarian Pakistan’

LAHORE: The orientation session on the Active Citizens’ Programme, a collaboration of the British Council, the Higher Education Commission and the Punjab University was held on Wednesday at Institute of Social and Cultural Studies. The programme aims to increase students’ engagement with the community and the society at large. Dean Zakria Zakar said the focus of the programme was to develop the capacity of the faculty and students in developing cross-cultural communication. He said the initiative would also help students and young faculty members in project planning and implementation and in enhancing the role of the youth in community development.
