The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is trying to register fake cases against its opposition parties to stop other political forces from gaining ground in Sindh, claimed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh chapter organiser and MNA Arif Alvi on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference, Alvi said Sindh finance minister Murad Ali Shah was trying to register a fake FIR against PTI activist Arbab Samjo. He further said Shah was forcing Samjo not to raise his voice against the corruption of the Sindh government. "This is not just the story of one person but the story of the entire province."
Meanwhile, PTI leader Imran Ismail blamed the central and provincial government for failing to take serious measures about the heatwave despite the ever-increasing death toll in Karachi. "The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government is treating Karachi like a stepchild," he said. "[PM] Nawaz Sharif has still not visited the city, which has lost around 2000 of its residents."
