The children, 6-year-old Mafia and 4-year-old Mubasshar were killed in their home near Dijkot Police Station in Faisalabad. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Station House Officer (SHO) Dijkot said that the accused, Parveen, killed her children after being domestically abused by her husband.
“Parveen developed differences with her husband; he abused her and dubbed their children as bastards,” he said.
Reports suggest that Parveen got angry after a rift with her husband, after which she hit both of her children with an axe, killing them on the spot. Parveen fled the scene right after.
Police arrived at the scene right after the incident occurred and took both bodies into custody and dispatched them to a mortuary for postmortem.
