‘Honour’ crime: Man beats daughter to death

BAHAWALPUR:
A man killed his daughter on Thursday with help from his son, police said on Thursday. A spokesman of Nowshera police said Muhammad Ahmed, a resident of Mubarkakpur near Ahmadpur East, had suspected that his married daughter Razia* was having an affair with a neighbour. He said Ahmed and his son Afzal had an argument with Razia over this following which they beat her to death.
He said police had taken custody of the body and taken it to a THQ hospital postmortem examination.
He said police had registered a case on a complaint by the deceased’s husband. He said a team had been formed to find and arrest the suspects.
