PAF officer wins prestigious Best Overseas Award at Royal Air Force Academy
Pakistan High Commission in the UK holds a ceremony to celebrate Saleem’s achievement
LONDON:
Pakistan Air Force Flying Officer Junaid Saleem recently received the Best Overseas Award at the Royal Air Force (RAF) Academy, Cranwell in the United Kingdom.
The Pakistan High Commission in London on this occasion held a ceremony to celebrate Saleem’s achievement. High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas congratulated the officer and said that the achievement was testimony to the high professional standards of Pakistan Air Force.
“It is a proud moment not only for the Pakistan Air Force, but for the whole nation,” Abbas said. “This also shows that our educational and training institutions are second to none and can impart excellence in various fields, as manifested in Junaid’s success.”

Saleem too attributed his success to the training he received at Pakistan Air Force Academy, Risalpur, and his parents’ prayers. The officer expressed his resolve to serve Pakistan and said that his achievement would further boost the morale of the armed forces.
Flying Officer Junaid Saleem was successfully commissioned on June 18. Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire Toby Dennis decorated Saleem with the Award at a special ceremony.
The event was attended by officers of the High Commission and media representatives.
