Arrests: Crackdown continues against fake CNICs
Over the past one week, cases have been registered against 1,516 people for holding fake CNICs

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police has registered more cases against those accused of possessing fake computerised national identity cards (CNIC).
The operation has intensified following authentication from National Database and Registration Authority and verification from the special branch. Over the past one week, cases have been registered against 1,516 people for holding fake CNICs, 960 were booked for verifying the fake documents and cases were filed against 26 for acting as NADRA agents.
At least 802 cases have been registered in Peshawar, 460 in Mardan, 49 in Kohat, 85 in Malakand, 27 in Bannu, 49 in Hazara and 44 in DI Khan. So far, 2,687 cases have been filed in the ongoing operation.
