Corrupt practices: NAB arrests Benazir Housing Cell’s chairman

In an ongoing drive against corruption, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi chapter, has apprehended Benazir Housing Cell’s chairman for his alleged involvement in misappropriation of funds in the low cost housing scheme.
The accused will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining physical remand on June 24.

In an ongoing drive against corruption, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi chapter, has apprehended Benazir Housing Cell’s chairman for his alleged involvement in misappropriation of funds in the low cost housing scheme.
NAB’s spokesperson confirmed the arrest saying that the accused, Manzar Abbas, Chairman, Director Technical Drawing and Disbursement Officer, Benazir Housing Cell was arrested by NAB Karachi. The spokesperson said the accused was allegedly involved in misappropriation of Rs367, 593,168 of the low-cost housing scheme funds of the Benazir Housing Cell, Kashmore district.
The accused will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining physical remand on June 24.
