Khuzdar rocked by 4.5 magnitude earthquake

The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be 55 kilometers north west of Khuzdar town in Balochistan

KARACHI:
An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit Khuzdar on Tuesday evening, Express News reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 55 kilometers north west of Khuzdar city in Balochistan, at a depth of 10 kilometers, Pakistan Meteorological Department said.


The shocks were felt at 6:48pm in the evening, just before evening prayers.

There were no reports of any loss of life till the filing of this report.

The last majore earthquake in Balochistan was in September 2013 when an earthquake of 7.5 magnitude struck Awaran, leaving some 240 people dead and injuring more than 350, and affecting over 100,00 people.
