MULTAN: A man caught in a financial feud with his in-laws sustained 90% burns when his wife and brother-in-law threw petrol on him and set him alight in Multan's Muradabad area on Thursday, Express News reported. 

Muhammed Salim went to the home of his in-laws to collect Rs0.21 million that they had reportedly taken from him on loan, when an argument broke out between himself, his wife Farzana and her brother Amir.

Refusing to hand over the money, the argument escalated and Farzana and Amir reportedly doused him in petrol and set him alight.

Initial reports from hospital sources revealed that Salim was in critical condition after his body was covered with 90% burns.

Sources further revealed that a case is yet to be filed at the local police station; however, investigation into the incident was underway.
