
The Met department also predicted clear skies for Karachi tomorrow, adding that that would make chances of sighting the crescent moon high. The duration of the appearance of the moon would be about 38 minutes.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to formally convene on June 17 for the sighting of the Ramazan moon, during which officials from the Met department would also be present.
Further, the Met department also said the new moon would be 24 hours and 44 minutes old.
Meanwhile, the moon for Ramazan was not sighted in Saudia Arabia and other countries in the Gulf. In the Middle East, first Ramazan will fall on Thursday, June 17.
