Traffic disaster: Road accident claims five lives, injures 25

The deputy commissioner and the SSP also rushed to the hospital

SUKKUR: Five people were killed and 25 others injured when a Sehwan-bound passenger coach overturned near Naushero Feroz bypass early on Thursday morning. The passenger coach was on its way to Sehwan from Punjab when the driver lost control near the Naushero Feroz bypass. The speeding vehicle overturned and, as a result, five persons were killed and 25 others, including women and children, were injured. Those killed were identified as the coach driver Muhammad Younus, Ghulam Mustafa, Ghulam Abbas and Siraj Ahmed, with one deceased remaining unidentified. The injured and the deceased were shifted to Civil Hospital, Naushero Feroz, where a large number of people gathered to donate blood. The deputy commissioner and the SSP also rushed to the hospital. Some of the injured told reporters said that the coach was overloaded and the driver was speeding, despite repeated warnings by the passengers to drive carefully.
