‘Sialkot to be made model city’

“The government is planning on making Sialkot a model district for trade, industrial growth and export,” National Assembly member Chaudhary Armughan Subhani said on Monday.


He was addressing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers at Variyo House in Sialkot.

MPA Tariq Akhtar Subhani, former federal minister Abdul Sattar Variyo and former provincial minister Khush Akhtar Subhani were also present.

Subhani said the Punjab government would spend Rs50 billion on the construction of Sialkot-Lahore Expressway, Sialkot Ring Road, a paved protective dyke on Dek torrent and a new canal and on addition of two lanes on Sialkot-Kingra Road.

He said these projects would open doors for socio-economic and human development in Sialkot region.
