Campaign in rawalpindi: Anti-polio drive from today

The District Health Department is going to introduce the injectable polio vaccine in high-risk areas of Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A special eight-day polio vaccination campaign will begin here from Monday (today). The District Health Department is going to introduce the injectable polio vaccine in high-risk areas of Rawalpindi District, said EDO (Health) Dr Nasir Mehmood. He explained that all arrangements for the vaccination drive had been finalised and polio teams will visit a total of 28 high-risk union councils of the district. Pakistan has recorded a significant drop in the number of polio cases recorded this as compared to last year.
