KARACHI: A senior pilot of Pakistan International Airlines Captain Muhammad Saeed Ahmed has been safely recovered months after being kidnapped. He was abducted in February while buying plants from a nursery in Defence locality. Sources claimed that Capt Ahmed was released following a deal that police will set free relatives of some robbers they had detained. However, Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) chief SP Muqaddas Haider told The Express Tribune that the police recovered him from an intercity bus near from Nooriabad which was coming towards Karachi from Hyderabad. “We traced their (kidnappers) location through cell phone signals and were busy in a search operation when we found Capt Ahmed in a bus,” AVCC chief explained. The kidnappers were trying to shift him from Hyderabad to avoid the police raid.
