LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Gulshan-i- Iqbal SHO on Friday on a petition filed by a rickshaw driver requesting the court to order the arrest of 11 people for damaging his rickshaw. Petitioner Azizur Rehman told the court he had lodged an FIR against the 11 men, including Abdul Mughees, Abbas Niazi, Tipu Sultan, Abdul Samad, Abdul Sami, Nadeem, Ijaz, Javed, Haneef and Kashif, for damaging his rickshaw during a protest demonstration by the rickshaw union. He said the SHO had not arrested them. He accused the officer of pressuring him to reach a compromise with the suspects. He requested the court to direct the SHO to arrest them.
