Local Elections: Delimitation schedule revised

The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday revised its schedule for delimitation of local government constituencies. A notification issued in this regard stated that delimitation officers would prepare a preliminary list of constituencies by June 10. It added that the lists would be published and advertised to invite representations and objections from June 11-20. Objections could be filed before the delimitation authority from June 11-30, it added. The notification further said that the delimitation authorities would hear objections from June 25 to July 16 and decide all such matters by July 23. The final notification of delimitation of constituencies will be issued on July 28.
