Mysterious death: Man, woman die from ‘toxic’ substance

KARACHI: A man and a woman were found dead inside an office within the limits of SITE-B police station, on Monday. Police said the bodies were found at Anam Apartments, where the office of a local company is located. The victims were identified as Anam, 20, daughter of Nadeem, and Bilal, 22, son of Hanif. “Both died by ingesting a toxic substance,” said the police duty officer. He said the victim, Hanif, used to work in the Ghas Mandi area and the motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained. “The cases have been registered and the investigation is underway,” he commented. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the autopsy.
