Imran Khan vows to bring Zahra Hussain's killers to justice

“Her strength and determination can never be forgotten,” the PTI chief says marking her second death anniversary

With investigation of slain Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zahra Shahid Hussain still incomplete, PTI chief Imran Khan vowed on Monday to bring her killers to justice.

Hussain served as PTI central vice president and was shot dead outside her house in Karachi's Defence Housing Authority on May 18, 2013, on the eve of re-polling in the NA-250 constituency.

“Her strength and determination can never be forgotten,” the PTI chief tweeted, marking the second death anniversary of Hussain.




Imran added that Hussain was brutally murdered in Karachi as she returned from PTI’s protest against rigging in 2013 general elections.



Two months ago, Rangers had claimed to have arrested a key suspect involved in PTI leader's murder.

The paramilitary force conducted an intelligence based surgical action near Karachi’s Teen Talwar area. During the operation, Kaleem, a target killer was arrested. Kaleem was allegedly involved in numerous murder cases including that of the PTI leader’s.

He was handed over to the police and a cache of weapons was also recovered.
