En route: ANF foils smuggling bid at airport
The contraband was said to be worth Rs10 million and was hidden in passengers’ luggage
ISLAMABAD:
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs out of the country during an operation at Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Sunday afternoon. An official said ANF recovered 16 kilogrammes of heroin from two passengers who had boarded a plane leaving the country. The contraband was said to be worth Rs10 million and was hidden in passengers’ luggage. The suspected smugglers were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
