10-year-old boy drowns in Lyari river

The body of a 10-year-old boy, who drowned in the Lyari river near Agra Taj Colony, Sher Shah, on Saturday was found after a one-and-a-half hour search.
Ijaz, who was a student of class IV, was going back home from school when he slipped and fell in. Residents claimed, however, that there was another child who fell in the river along with him. Edhi and Chippa volunteers reached the scene and found Ijaz’s body which was taken to Civil hospital. The boy’s family later took the body away. The search for the second child is still underway
