Week-On-Week: SPI falls 0.27%

The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.24%

ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended May 14 registered a decrease of 0.27% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 202.69 points against 203.24 points in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.24% from 211.19 points in the previous week to 210.69 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group fell 0.47%. During the week, average prices of five items fell in a selected basket of goods, prices of 17 items rose and rates of remaining 31 goods recorded no change.
