Summer woes: Policemen excused from wearing safety kits

Decision was taken after policemen complained about wearing the kits in sizzling summer heat.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday suspended the condition for police officials to wear safety kits a few days after they were introduced.


A press release issued by the Interior Ministry said the decision was taken after policemen complained about wearing the kits in sizzling summer heat.


The statement said the interior minister took note of a media report about the difficulties policemen were facing with regards to the kits, and relaxed the condition.
