GHOTKI: At least two sons of a police constable were killed on Friday when a toy bomb exploded in Faisal Kolachi village near Ghotki, Express News reported.

Two brothers, 14-year-old and 15-year-old, died in the attack that took place near their house.

One of the deceased passed away on the spot, while the other succumbed to his injuries on his way to a hospital in Sukkur. According to Ghotki police, investigation in the case is under way and culprits will soon be arrested.

According to Bomb Disposal Squad, the bomb was locally made and weighed 1kg.

On May 12, police conducted a major search operation in the district in an attempt to eliminate terrorism from the country.

Senior superintendent Ghotki had ordered the residents to vacate the district within eight hours.
