PESHAWAR:

Nahida Bibi, an LG candidate from Maryamzai UC-55, has decided to contest local government polls to resolve the problems faced by women in her constituency. Speaking to The Express Tribune, she said her aim is to empower women and address the problems they are faced with. “I want women to identify the problems they have to deal with,” Nahida said. “As their representative, I will do my best to resolve their issues. My priority is to facilitate women and provide them access to basic facilities.” Nahida said a great deal needs to be done for women in her constituency. “Apart from those who win the LG elections, lawmakers and activists should try to find solutions to the plight of women of my constituency,” she added.
