Two suspected terrorist killed, the same rounded up following clash in Hayatabad area

PESHAWAR: An assistant police officer and two suspected militants were killed in an encounter in Peshawar's Hayatabad area on Thursday, Express News reported.

According to police sources, two suspected militants were also rounded up following the clash. Security forces reportedly seized a number of weapons from the unidentified assailants.

Soon after the incident, police cordoned off the area and carried out search operation.

Earlier, at least two suspected terrorists were also arrested during a raid in Peshawar’s Sethi Town on May 1. According to police sources, the arrested belonged to Afghanistan and were residing in Peshawar.

The security officials also seized explosive material weighing 320kg, filled in different toys, from the hideout of the miscreants.
